PLD Space is a Spanish launch company (Elche, founded 2011) whose Miura 1 was the first private European rocket launched (2023) and whose Miura 5 (1,040kg to LEO, ocean-recovery reuse) targets an inaugural flight before end-2026 from its own EUR 35M complex at Kourou. It raised >EUR 350M total, including a EUR 180M Series C led by Mitsubishi Electric (also a strategic customer), Spanish state funds, a EUR 158.9M ESA Launch Challenge award (August 2026), and EIB debt, giving it the strongest capital and customer stack of the pre-orbital European cohort. It is pre-orbital-revenue.
