YJSemi manufactures continuous-wave laser chips for optical communications and data-center interconnects.
YJSemi is the domestic laser chip supplier that the Chinese optical module chain has been trying to build, and FY2025 is the year it worked. Revenue reached RMB 601.43 million, up 138.50 percent, with net profit attributable RMB 190.92 million, swinging from a prior-year loss. The composition is the story: telecom revenue was RMB 206.47 million, up just 2.06 percent, while data center revenue reached RMB 393.26 million, up 719.06 percent, and in the first half of 2025 the data center line overtook telecom as the largest revenue source for the first time. The prior year had already signalled the turn, with data center revenue up 919.10 percent to RMB 48.04 million at a 71.94 percent gross margin against 24.62 percent in telecom. The driver is continuous-wave silicon photonics light sources: CW 70mW laser chips for 400G and 800G modules shipped in volume to multiple customers, passing one million units, with high power, high coupling efficiency and wide temperature operation for 800G silicon photonics. On the roadmap, 100G PAM4 EML has completed design and entered volume ramp, and a 200G PAM4 EML prototype is validated for 1.6T. It operates as an IDM with MOCVD epitaxy, grating etch and facet coating yield control. Capacity is scaling from 960,000 CW laser chips per year in 2024 to a ten-million-unit-class capability now, with 20 million per year planned for 2026. Leverage scores 5 because Innolight, the world's largest module maker, is a shareholder, a structural customer and
